I find the poem comforting and hopeful. Some friendships do face worse of betrayal. It may not be the actual betrayal of souls but just mere feeling of betrayal due to our own perceptions sometimes. So the last two stanza made me think about that. It all shows how imperfect our human love/friendship can be. Afterall, Lord Jesus did see the worse of betrayals with Judas and Peter. But Lord Jesus gives time to let hearts realised the need of a friend in Him. Good poem." |
