IVE JUST BEEN READING SOME STUFF THAT SISTER MERRELLEE HAS WRITTEN. IHAVE TO SAY THAT IVE BEEN TRULY BLESSED IN MY READING I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS AN OPEN FORUM OR WHAT BUT I WOULD LOVE TO BE PART OF THIS NO MATTER HOW SMALL THANKS i dont have a website but i am in the ministry. Me and my wife are Life Recovery Pastors in our church and we hold classes two nights a week on Tues and Thurs in our fellowship hall at Oak Grove Church of the Harvest just north of Sulphur Ok. We are fresh out of revival where 13 inmates from our local county jail came forward and publicly denounced ther sins and announced some tearfully and some joyfully Jesus as Lord and their need of a Saviour |

The people of Iraq are not our enemy, they were not ones who attacked on September 11th. Us attacking Iraq, would be like President Roosevelt attacking the Phillipines after the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor. An easy target with some possible upside, but not going after the cause of the attack. A few things you may want to look at. Jesus never condoned war, He told us to love everyone. Refer to what Paul wrote in Romans 12. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord. 20On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. As a Christian you know that what was written in the bible is by divine intervention. It is not something we pick and choose based on our fears and current threats. Instead of bashing and killing people because of disagreements, we are called to love. War and the threat of war is caused by human selfishness and greed. It is caused by misunderstanding, and sometimes even taking God's word and manipulating based on what we want it to say. For example the Inquisitions and Salem Witch Trials. Both caused by Christians incorrectly using God's word. The United States is not God's chosen country, and we are certainly not God's chosen people. There is no reference in the Bible referring to this, so I think it is out of our authority to claim it as so. Everyone on this planet is a child of God, but it is there choice to chose his salvation and love. The people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and other countries need God just as much as anyone else on this planet. Christianity is not a mutually exclusive group. The Christian Church that Christ created when He ascended into heaven is for all people. Please refer to the book of Acts to see His plan. Christians, as God's people, are called to go and love all people and show God's love to all people no matter where they are or what they currently believe. I agree the Muslim faith does not believe in the Creator of this world, the Christian God or in Jesus Christ as the Savior, but that does not mean we go and kill them.
